4067 Skippack Pike, Skippack, PA
Since opening in 1997, Parc Bistro has become the center of the culinary renaissance in the Skippack area. The Bistro’s slogan, “A little bit French; a little bit Country; a little bit Italian,” seems to adequately describe the eclectic mix of tastes and ambiance you’ll find there. Fine dining and a charming bistro atmosphere await you in this totally refurbished 19th century roadside inn.
A real stone-finished wood burning oven enchants one room of the restaurant; the warmth and dancing firelight creates a unique atmosphere that isn’t duplicated anywhere around. The main banquet room is large and stately, with three sparkling brass chandeliers and room to accommodate 40 people. Antique mirrors and avant-garde prints line the walls, enlivening the space as large windows frame a perfect view of the outdoor patio.
Cocktails are a favorite on the brick-paved patio, and guests who choose to dine there can still enjoy the inspired culinary creations that grace the entire menu. With a carousel-striped awning over the bar and umbrella-topped tables, the patio has a lively “al fresco” setting that makes the dining experience memorable and fun.
The menu at Parc Bistro is masterfully re-designed every four months by Executive Chef William Tschoepe, an expert in his field and a true culinary artist. This rhythmic recreation of menu choices here seems almost wed to the seasons of nature, complimenting seasonal moods with hand-picked cuts of fine meat and the freshest seasonal vegetables. Yet another compliment to the Parc Bistro’s menu, an extensive fine wine list is highlighted by 7 years of Opus One from Napa Valley. A rich selection of French reds and champagnes are also quite notable.
The barn adjoining the grounds of Parc Bistro, known as Le Club, is just as worthy of mention as the main restaurant and patio. It was originally built in 1822 just after the roadside inn that now houses the Bistro. Renovated in 1997, Le Club is now the perfect venue for hosting parties and events of all kinds. The downstairs bar and lounge area is as cozy as can be, with the building’s original stone walls, new plush seating and tall French bistro tables all at home within the warmly lit area. A television overlooks one corner of the beautifully crafted bar - an ornamental structure made entirely of oak, glass, and polished brass. The bar is fully stocked and awaits the pleasure of many delighted guests.
The upstairs half of Le Club is a much roomier area, with tables for dining, a dance floor, sound system, and lighting to enhance any affair. With a lofty ceiling and lots of open space, the area can entertain up to 100 of your closest friends (depending on your program). Event calendars detailing the frequent parties held at the Parc Bistro are available upon request in the main building. Events such as wine tasting, Halloween, and an annual New Year’s Eve Party are regularly held and are open to the public.
