Skippack's Vegetarian Café

Let’s start with our name... We are often asked why cabbage?  Our idea was to make healthy salads to take to parties, potlucks and cookouts. Why? Because many people don’t have the time or energy to spend cooking, and supermarket offerings are sub-par. We wanted our ingredients to be readily available, healthy, nourishing, and delicious. Cabbage fits those criteria. Cabbage represents our ideas, recipes and mission. We offer more than salad, but the name still fits. We started as a food vendor during the summers of 2017 and 2018.  Also during this time we were filling bulk

orders for private parties and catering public events. In December 2018, we opened “Cabbage vegetarian café” in Skippack. We still participate in events, fill bulk orders, and cater. But now we also have the privilege of feeding hungry people who walk in and crave something different, healthier and delicious.

Both the cafe space and menu are small. However, this allows us to provide homemade food using the freshest ingredients. We have several offerings for vegans and those who are gluten-free. Our most popular food item is THE sandwich and our most popular beverages are the chai latte and the gold (tumeric) latte. Sometimes we are told “I don’t like cole slaw!”.   One bite later, and they are repeat customers. Think “ fresh cabbage salad”, not cole slaw... We are so excited about our plans for the warmer weather and our future, so come in and see what we have to offer!
