Where You Can Bring to Life Any Floral Arrangement You Dream Up
We want to introduce you to another one of Skippack’s hidden gems. This shop is tucked away off the main street but well worth a visit! At Jacque’s Silk Floral Design, you can bring to life any floral arrangement you dream up. Custom arrangements and wreaths made from silk flowers are this shops specialty! Owner Jacqueline Lazaro loves bringing smiles to her customers’ faces and turning their dreams into reality. Jacque recently went to school for interior design and excelled as she realized this was her true passion. Before opening the shop, she lived in Puerto Rico for 18 years, Florida for 10 years, and came back to her roots in Pennsylvania about 3 years ago. During those 3 years, Jacque was teaching and waitressing searching for the right space to open her shop. She has always had a place in her heart for Skippack Village and the variety of shops and activities it offers. Last Fall, Jacque found her location and jumped on it. She has owned the store since October 2017 and opened for business on Fall Fest weekend. Jacque is very excited that she is coming up on her one-year anniversary of being in the village!
Jacque loves custom orders whether they are big or small arrangements. She wants to start doing floral arrangements for weddings. In fact, she is doing all the arrangements for her own wedding which is coming up this October. No matter what special event you have coming up, Jacque will put together the perfect arrangement, she even does tombstone toppers. In this shop you can also find pre-made arrangements and wreaths as well as antiques, candles and other gifts. Jacque offers stems for sale and ribbon by the yard or spool for you to take them home and get creative on your own. If you’re not the most creative person, don’t worry, there is no charge to put arrangements together. Jacque likes to create a vintage feel by making arrangements in antique containers. In fact, just about any container shelf, table, or other fixture in the shop is also for sale!
Moving forward, Jacque hopes to touch lives by teaching in workshops. Floral & Hardy will be hosting her event, A Silk Floral Workshop, on September 20th. She has also been organizing the next Girls Night Out which is a village wide event held on September 21st. The goal of this Girls Night Out is to raise money for Unite For Her. The organization offers services such as massage, yoga, and healthy ways women with cancer can help to heal physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally during treatment. There will be a gift basket raffle, some stores will have free mini massages, essential oil treatments, and yoga, and 10% of sales will be donated to Unite For Her.
