Inspired by the Past & Repurposed for Today

When you step into this shop one of the first things you notice is a beautiful 1904 brass National cash register sitting on the counter. S.A. Oliver & Co. Mercantile is a shop that was inspired by the simpler days of the past where the general store or mercantile was not only a place where you could find an eclectic mix of interesting items for the home all in one place but a gathering place for the community, friends and family.

S.A. Oliver & Co. opened in March of this year and has fit in perfectly with Skippack Village’s sense of community and value of history.  Specializing in carefully curated home décor and gifts with a vintage, modern-farm house, shabby chic flair, S.A. Oliver & Co. is one of the few places you can find vintage inspired home decor and gifts in the village.  Once you step in the door you are guaranteed to find your new favorite piece.

Steve Oliver, Owner of S.A. Oliver & Co. says “We really work hard to find unique items that are inspired by the past but are redesigned or repurposed for today.  We also look for socially and environmentally responsible types of items.  Our Apothecary Soy Candle Collection, encourages you to repurpose the jar once the candle finished.  We also carry Blue Q socks. 1% of Blue Q Sales goes to support Doctors Without Borders.”

The customer service from Steve and his team is outstanding, they’re able to help find the perfect conversation piece for everyone as well as provide ideas on how to display it. Check out S.A. Oliver & Co. Mercantile on Facebook and Instagram because they are always posting new items in the shop & stop by soon!
