From Framing to Art Shows - Schang Hai Gallerie is Your Artistic Palace!

Schang-Hai Gallerie is located just outside of the village at 4136 Creamery Road right across the way from Creamery Tire. Barb Schang, owner of Schang-Hai Gallerie, has been a resident and business owner in Skippack since January of 1996. She chose her location due to her need for a commercial and residential space to raise her young children at the time. Barb is a highly skilled custom framer. Clients bring their artwork to her because they trust that she will treat it with the utmost respect and professional application to suit their needs. Barb also does restoration and art exhibition. Her reputation as a skilled framer & conservator stands alone. She has been in the art and framing business for 35 years.

Schang-Hai Gallerie is a 400 sq. foot gallery space with Barb’s full workshop on the second level. Right upon walking in you will be greeted by various works of art covering the walls that you can look at, appreciate, and even purchase. Behind the front desk you will be delighted to see the largest selection of frames you may ever see, with 1000 frames to choose from. That’s right, 1000! Barb considers her and her business distinctive because framers of her caliber are rare. Most of them have gone out of business since 2008. She is also a highly skilled seamstress, adding to her talents in the custom framing arena. Another skillset that Barb has is her designer handbag line, BeCe Bags which are available in 4 locations in the Greater Philadelphia region, one of which is our very own Copper Partridge. Barb’s prices are the best in Montgomery County & her skill level is superior which helps set her far apart from the competition. The Gallerie also is the only studio in the village that has monthly shows with opening receptions.

Schang-Hai Gallerie’s next upcoming event is called 3 POV. This event will feature three talented local women in art, Carol Fazio, Sharon Gross, and owner of the Gallerie, Barb Schang. Mark your calendars for Saturday October 6thwhere you will be able to attend the show, its’ opening reception that will feature live jazz, wine & finger food from 5pm-8pm.

Barb has dedicated her entire life to art & music and is quoted saying, “You know what they say, ‘If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.’ Well, I never have!”
