Where Everyone Finds a Gift They are Excited to Give!
On the corner of Skippack Pike and Store Road you’ll find this unique and eclectic gift shop. The Copper Partridge offers items for women, men, children, and the home. The mother and daughter duo that own the shop love helping every customer find a gift they are excited to give. Owners Deb Knight and her mother, Linda Milkewicz reside locally and enjoy serving the community they live in. Believe it or not, Deb was a teacher, and never imagined owning a shop on the main drag in Skippack. Luckily, five years ago Linda was on a morning walk in February and saw that The Copper Partridge was closing in three days and up for sale. Two days later they found themselves on a new adventure! They closed the store for six weeks and during that time they painted, did their research on products, read books about retail and went to gift shows to discover new vendors. They reopened in March 2014 and have been learning day by day how to make their gift shop even better! Deb and Linda do a wonderful job, greeting every customer and making their time shopping at The Copper Partridge a fun experience.
The Copper Partridge was built on the mantra that every shop should look, taste feel and smell good. There is always a candle lit and filling the air with sweet aromas. All spring and summer you can sample different flavored wine slushies. In the colder months, spiced apple cider white merlot is served. The slushy mix is available to purchase, and they have proved to be extremely popular! There are also other food samples ready to be tasted every day including various dips, jams and mustards. The shop consists of six different rooms including a wedding room, beach room and spa room. Other popular sections include the New Arrivals table, the baby section, and the men’s section. The men’s section has recently been filled with items perfect for Father’s Day!
The Copper Partridge enjoys working with other merchants to grow a strong sense of community in Skippack Village. Products from over 20 local artists can be found throughout the shop. They also stock 60+ other lines of products found at gift shows. The average price point in the shop is $20-$30 and gift wrapping is always complimentary. Gift baskets of all sizes are Deb’s specialty! The baskets can be any price point between $29-$200. You pick a theme, and Deb works her magic. Her gift baskets are perfect for home gifts, baby, golf outings, anything! At the Copper Partridge, customers love to create their own products. There are several lines that that allow the customer to get creative. You can make your own jewelry, picture frames, and arrangements of large scrabble tiles. Personalization has shown to be the key to their customer friendly products.
For an even more intimate shopping experience, you can schedule a private party! These parties were created for fundraisers, get togethers and small community events. The Copper Partridge will stay open outside of business hours for a 2-hour party for groups of 15-25 people. During the party, the Copper Partridge offers wine and cheese, a fun atmosphere, and a $40 gift card for the hostess who organizes the event. Your group can also receive a 15% off discount or a check for 15% of the sales during the party will be donated to your organization. The first private party was last year, and The Copper Partridge has held 10+ successful parties since then! Events at The Copper Partridge are something you don’t want to miss!
