Sisters and business partners, Colleen and Maureen, as children always had a passion for paper dolls and playing dress up! They would have never guessed then, that they would be business partners today. Life is funny that way!

Colleen's love for fashion design led her to Virginia Commonwealth University then Traphagen School of Design in New York. In New York, Colleen was a "door woman" at the Park Side Evangiline, located on Gramarcy Park were she lived her first year in the Big Apple!  Needless to say, Colleen has some  reat stories!  Maureen was deciding between interior design and fashion merchandising when a friend introduced her to The Barbizion School in New York. Of course, not being able to pass up the chance to live in New York and also attend school on Fifth Avenue, Maureen was sold. Maureen worked at Chandlers Shoe store and was impressed at the young age of 18, by all the celebrities that came in and out of the store. When she was short on cash, she would walk the 30 some blocks from Gramarcy Park to 57th and 5th. Youth is a wonderful thing! To round out the fashion side of her, Maureen attended Chestnut Hilll College for marketing.

In 1987 Colleen found her way back to the Montgomery County area after living in New York City, Paris and Long Island and decided to live her dream and open Harleysville Bridal & Tuxedo Shoppe. Colleen often reflects on her grand opening, "we had 10 bridal gowns and about 50 beautiful flower arrangements, it looked more like a funeral home than a bridal shop". After working for Bonwit Teller, John Wanamaker's and Joshua Slocum, Maureen, then living in the Philadelphia area joined up with Colleen in 1989. "I always knew I would have my own business, never dream't though it would be a bridal shop" Maureen often comments when asked how she got into the bridal business.

In 2014. Harleysville Bridal & Tuxedo Shoppe merged with Colleen & Maureen's other shop, Page's haute in Skippack Village. Customers ask why the move/ combining the shops. Maureen's reply "we are 28 years older, I don't think I need to say any more". Seriously though, life changes and this was a good move for us. It allows us to do what we love while offering the flexibility to do more things we love!

We have Ashley, our right hand gal and other fantastic members of our team! We are very excited about the future of our business.

Present, 30 years of helping thousands of clients with weddings, proms and other special occasions, Colleen and Maureen will proclaim "has been and still is a joy and a blessing".
