Floral Fabric Wet Felting Workshop

Date: Saturday, April 22th 11 am -2 pm.

Pennsylvania Guild Master Artisan Linda Doucette will guide you through all the steps necessary to create a one-of-a-kind 18” x 18” hand felted fabric.
Your design is a permanent part of the cloth that can be displayed on the wall or turned into a pillow or other home décor items.
This workshop is perfect for beginners, no prior experience is necessary. Everyone will go home with a felt fabric they can proudly display in their home.
You can choose from several designs and select your own colors.
Students will learn basic wool handling techniques of shingling and drafting to create thin, even layers of fiber.
The class will cover the basics of composing a dynamic design.

Participants will experiment with color blending.
Learn Linda’s exact techniques for wetting the fibers, rubbing, and rolling to form a sturdy felted cloth.
Additional ideas for embellishing, displaying, and stitching your new cloth will be discussed.
The day of the workshop choose sleeves that are not too loose and clothes you won’t mind getting a little wet!
