Understanding Pregnancy and Infant Loss: How to best meet our clients' needs

Hosted at Center for Loss and Bereavement

Join us on October 9th for a fantastic training on perinatal and infant loss run by our very own Tammy Court-Cudd!
Pregnancy and giving birth are exciting, joyous events but what happens when joy quickly turns to sorrow through the experience of perinatal/neonatal loss? Therapeutic support for perinatal and neonatal loss is crucial in helping bereaved parents navigate their grief and begin the healing process. Specialized counseling offers a safe space to express emotions, process trauma, and develop coping strategies.
The objectives of this training will include:
-Identifying contributors to grief intensity
-Understanding the role of attachment styles and applying attachment tasks in therapy
-Recognizing how perinatal mood and anxiety disorders impact bereavement and vice versa
-Implementing relational guidance and other therapeutic techniques in supporting parents who have experienced perinatal/neonatal loss
