Through the centuries, the town of Skippack has managed to shirk the tides of change. Well-mannered streets in colonial trimming lined with boutiques are a perpetual reminder of the village’s permanence. Skippack Days itself is a perennial tradition stretching back over four decades. This closely knitted festival is brimming with artistic sophisticates as well as an impressive array of local resident artists. It is no small guess then that the annual Skippack Days is an artisan dream come true.

Skippack Days is geared towards the crafters big time! Skippack Pike – the main thoroughfare – is lined with the regions top-quality artisans and crafters. Everything from the finest woodwork to expertly crafted pottery, silk prints, handmade jewelry, garments, and toys are all for sale. The selection is impressive and truth be told it is the driving factor for many of the visitors. Local artists and merchants are want for the action. Many shops are all too eager for festival traffic which is conveniently passing through their front doors. Visitors are certainly encouraged to browse these village shoppes in addition to the crafters.  Also, in addition to the plethora of cafes and bistros in the downtown area, there are also plenty of food vendors as well as merchants selling specialty foods.
